    Hi Caro,

I’m a total “newbie,” and wondered if the links that I create in Blogger back to my website (WPD blog if I go that route) are considered to be good/authoritative links that will help my Google PR on my site (or WPD blog)?

I skipped ahead a bit to the end of the course and learned about backlinks that prompted this question here…

    Thanks in advance…

    OM

Hi Channel, thanks for the clarity.. I appreciate it.
I was thinking about it in terms of repeated ‘authority’ that ezine gives to repeated posting of its articles.. well you know what I mean.
I am doing revised articles with some bits taken out and new bits put in. Anyway, thanks again.

The problem with Article rewriting tools or article spinners as they are commonly called is that they dont do a very good job of creating user readable articles. In a lot of cases they create articles that make no sense. So you have to spend a lot of time editing them for clarity

please do not use the word duplicate content from meaning of SEO. duplicate content penalty is within your own site with follow tag, but with no follow tag, you can have duplicate content on your site. I prefer you use the word unique content for all web 2.0 and here is why… Unique and original content creates social proof. repeated content perceived as spam. We are not here to please google, google wants to serve the people. we just focus on helping people have unique experience…

I second Larry Mullins35′s question. How/how often should we be sustaining blogs?

Do you simply rehash your main content every week or so?

I was actually thinking that a guest post on a blog in a similar category that has some traffic and links would be worth more than starting a new blog with one page and no links

(I’m not found of Traffic Bug- my results have been untargeted to say the least- a cooking site in a weather/science category?)

  • LarryMullins35 says:

I understand we need new content for each initial blog. How can we sustain this? My understanding is blogs must be updated with new material every few days. Is this necessary for all these blog sites?

Could you please stop using the word ‘Newbies’ in your videos, which you seem to do repeatedly? It has such a demeaning connotation! Beginners, or first-time starters for example, could be a couple of options.

I’m not saying you are actually ‘intending’ that term to be belittling, as I’m very sure you’re not, however the more savvy and experienced marketers out there (not all, but many) use other terms that I feel are much more appropriate.

phil478 : article rewriting tools: Generally useless!

  • phil478 says:

What do you guys think of article rewriting tools? They claim you just plug in your original article and come out with a couple of new ones.
